Week 3 Integrative Learning: Portfolio Revisions & Strategy

This assignment, Portfolio Revisions and Strategy; is to help me come up with answers to questions in how I can enhance my portfolio. I can then use my answers to formulate a strategy to showcase my skills and certify that I'm a reliable asset to my future employers.

How can you revise and enhance your portfolio upon graduation?

One of the ways that I’d like to enhance my portfolio is by inputting my resume as a downloadable pdf. I still need to fiddle around with the website and learn how I could do that without having it show up on every single page. I’d also like to put more of my work that I’ve done for class up on my portfolio work section. I’ll need to be more descriptive of the type of work it is, the skills, software and equipment (if any) were used in these projects.

What would you add to your portfolio so it can have a greater impact on your audience?

I think it’d be a good idea to use the video presentation that I did in the prior assignment; Portfolio Enhancement & Video Presentation, to show that I know how to promote and advertise myself. It would further a call to action to my future employers / clients to hire me as a digital media specialist.

How will you effectively use your portfolio throughout your career journey?

I plan to well document all my future projects that I’ll do into this portfolio. I’ll update it annually, only using the most recent projects within that year. Certify and improve my knowledge on any social media tools, softwares, equipment, and trends that is going on in the community. This is to show that I’m well on trend and aware of what’s going on today.
