Creating A Career Plan

I’ll be identifying and explaining three strategies that I’ll be using throughout my career journey. Each of these strategies are to improve and separate myself from my competitors and help me stand out in the desired field.

Turning My Passion into A Career

One of my biggest passions in life is storytelling. It’s one of the activities that I participate on a daily basis and come so easily to me, like breathing. Storytelling can be used as a marketing strategy, advertising, promoting, video and audio producing and so forth. It’s an activity that is used so widely throughout social media and our daily lives that can definitely be a monetizable passion.

I’ll research into depth of occupations that uses storytelling the most and then create a detail plan of steps of how I can then show that I’m qualified for these jobs.

Using Communication to Land a Job

Part of the steps that I’ll be implementing in showing that I’m qualified is using communication. I plan to research what these top influencers are using to communicate with and then create my brand accounts on these social medias, sites, or any other form of medium. This is to show that I’m on the same par as these influencers and knowledgeable of the desired industry.

Networking

Socializing online is a big key in gaining visibility and recognition within any career field. The next step after building up my brand accounts on social media is then network within. I can do this by following and giving shout outs to certain influencers and positively saying something about their work. For example; “@BrianMichaelBendis Scarlet was such an amazing read!” By doing this consistently shows me as an avid reader and knowledgeable about the influencer’s work. This could win me a possible friend or reference in the future once after establishing a bridge with the influencer.
